The program has 2 sections, with an optional 3rd section or internship arranged by UW.

1. Intensive ESL study at A.C.E. Language Institutes on the SPU campus. Students will enter the program at either level 4 or level 5. To progress to the UW program students must satisfactorily complete level 5. Level 5 is the second highest level of our intensive academic preparatory English program. Graduation from level 5 is equivalent to a TOEFL 520, and qualifies a student for study, not only at the UW Business English Program, but also at other Seattle area colleges and universities.

2. The Business Certificate Program with University of Washington Educational Outreach. A 10 week program which focuses on business vocabulary and the communicative aspects of doing business in an American setting, using English.


3. Optional Internship Program: an internship with a local company arranged by the UW staff. Internship is approximately 10 weeks.
